hello skreeners! new here. still figuring things out. as we always are in life. why must we make figures out of everything? some things should stay unfigured, unknown, undiscovered.

anyways, today i wanted to ask what is your favorite song lyric. the one that makes you think. the one that makes you cry. the one that makes you smile. the one that makes you shake uncontrollably with fear, remorse, perhaps hatred for the things that are or will never be.

a phrase that's always with me and will get tattooed to an obvious space in my body as soon as i gather the courage for it is "i am not afraid to keep on living." because truly, it takes courage to be alive. to stay alive. to not give in and to push through adversity. it should be a quote from the bible, but no, it was blessed to us by american rock band My Chemical Romance.

i do love Muse! all those lyrics are great picks. my taste fluctuates from time to time so it's also hard to pick just one favorite. kendrick lamar has great lines and for the last three months he's all i've been listening to (though my love for mcr stays forever sacred). mr morale and the big steppers is such a deep, poetic, introspective masterpiece and i sing along to many of its songs. my favorite so far has been "die hard", with the lyric:

"If I told you who I am, would you use it against me?"

opening up for people is a double-edged sword. they can either make or break you, and that's the eternal dilemma... being yourself and risk having people judge you for that. but still we must trust and form connections.
