in honour of one of our discord members watching 8 (EIGHT) movies in one day, partially due to crass and irresponsible encouragement by certain other discord members, i bring you this thread...
WHAT'D YA WATCH TODAY??
(and was it good? what did you think?)

The new Crow. ...and no. They massively overcomplicated a very simple idea and it turned into a mess.

Strictly speaking, I have not watched anything today (testing to see if this works in quick reply). But most recently I've been watching the Fox-Men Universe to get ready for Deadpool 3, as well as Loki S2. I'm also making my way through JJK S2 as well. Aside from the occasionally painfully bad X-Men movie, I've been mostly enjoying my viewing experiences these past few weeks.

Alas.

I've been watching Scavenger Reigns, which has been nicely mysterious and weird in sort of an old-school/Moebius-cartoon kind of way.

Haha. One can only wish for more Mulder. Having watched them all in quick succession, I think that First Class, Days of Future Past, and Logan are the strongest three by far. I think First Class edges out Logan, which is ironic because Logan tried to be so edgy. Days of Future Past suffers from some blatant narrative issues, but makes up for it with a strong "fun" factor. The first two original X movies are also pretty good. X3, Apocalypse, Wolverine 1-2 are all bad. Dark Phoenix wasn't as terrible as I remembered, and this was the first time I had seen New Mutants. You can tell that movie really suffered from the Disney acquisition and the Fox execs not sticking to the horror theme.

TODAY I FINALLY WATCHED the very last episode of Better Call Saul, and wow, talk about sticking the landing. Kim and Jimmy's romantic dynamic is truly aspirational.

Ages late, but a follow-up to the X-Men thread is that Deadpool vs. Wolverine is now in the top 3 for me and FoxMen movies. Even though it was made fully by Disney the amount of homage and neatly tying of bows it did for the franchises was just so well done. I can't decide if it knocks First Class or Days of Future Past out of my top 3.
In other completely unrelated to super hero movies watching, I watch both I Saw The TV Glow and American Fiction on a plane ride.
ISTTG is probably one of the most heart-wrenching films I've ever watched and the way it evokes its subject matter in such an almost banal way is deeply moving. It's going to sit with me for an extremely long time.

I too need to check it out still. I wasn't much a fan of We're All Going To The World's Fair, though it had some fresh ideas and perspectives I loved. But I'm eager to check out ISTTG.
I finished My Hero Academia last night (or the last available season, season 7). I assumed it was a kid's show so watched it with my 10yo. A few seasons in it got surprisingly dark. And philosophical. So much engagement with complex ethical quandaries and explorations of self and identity and how human beings relate to each other. Looking at what forgiveness means and what it means to have forgiveness. All things that are very much my jam. Honestly I rank it up there with Attack On Titan in terms of social and psychological engagement+exploration, which is high praise. Def recommend if you haven't watched and enjoy that kind of thing or shows like Naruto, One Piece, etc.
Finished From recently which has overall been great and I highly recommend. Think "Lost" but it's horror and the mysteries are actually interesting and the characters are a lot more compelling.
Annnd I'm finally on the road to finishing It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, after starting and restarting it many times over the last 10ish years.
